Associate Minister | Elder Richmond Malone

Richmond Malone affectionately known as "Noonbay" was born on September 15, 1951, to the late Eldridge and Margaret Malone.

He matriculated through the Huntsville City School System ending with Butler High School. He furthered his education by attending Drake State Technical College where he earned a Barbering certification in 1973. During this time he met and married the love of his life, Deborah B. Malone, and to this union three children were born: Nicole, Tonya, and Keon.

Noonbay confessed hope in Christ in 1967. He later united with Douglas Tabernacle under the leadership of Reverend Anderson Douglas. Noonbay enjoyed working for the Lord and served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and musician.

Noonbay has a gift for music and sung with the Gospel Imperials for many years

Noonbay was no stranger to the ministry and accepted his calling July 13, 2008, at Douglas Tabernacle under the pastorship of the late Elder Robert Rogers, Sr. After being mentored by Elder Rogers. Elder Malone was ordained in the Indian Creek PB Association.

He was elected as the Pastor of Mt. Oilive P.B. Church in Winchester, TN. Noonbay was installed in July 2012 and served their congregation for five years. He returned to Douglas Tabernacle in 2018 as an Associate Minister. Elder Malone served as the Interim Pastor of Douglas Tabernacle from January 2019 until August 2019. He continues to serve as Associate Minister of Douglas Tabernacle.

His favorite scripture is Romans 8:35-37 - "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

Noonbay's motto is "Be you at all times"
